Brown’s first solo show, The Fantastic Memoir of the Life of Lucius Alexander, A Haint, took place at Recent Activity gallery. Arranged as a film installation, the show featured moving image, period clothing and sculpture, as well as Brown’s ‘Research Wall’.
The exhibition was also the subject of Brown’s art review, Reframing Erasure, which was shortlisted for the International Awards for Art Criticism, in 2023.
