Following the narrative of a fictional Black Briton called Lucius Alexander, The Fantastic Memoir of the Life of Lucius Alexander, A Haint is a fictional memoir set in 19th century Georgian London. Adapting a creatively written story, the film focuses on Lucius’s mission to repatriate a stolen Taino sculpture - ‘Bird-man’ - from the British museum, during which he unlocks a magical ability that transports him to a new, surreal, world.

This installation showcased the second chapter of the story, in which Lucius meets the person who gave him the mission to retrieve the ‘Bird-man’ sculpture. Professor Canaan Brown, no less.
