Turbulence is an animated film about noise pollution in the London Underground. The film is semi-autobiographical, and is a work of speculative fiction - it imagines the extent to which people might be willing to comply to what doesn’t serve them.
This film was created following Brown’s research fellowship - the John Akomfrah Research Fellowship, funded by Lisson Gallery, Royal College of Art, and Smoking Dogs Films - and was largely inspired by conversations with Brown’s friend and former colleague at the Royal College of Art - academic, designer and musician, David Quartey.
